An2Sec’s simple advices when traveling!

Now when the summer break approaches and people are traveling more than usual, so do criminals. Therefore, an2sec’s security consultants would like to give you a few simple advices to stay safe and secure.

Travel and hotel security

  1. When moving about in cities and especially crowded areas like market places, use the 2 bags system. If you carrying a backpack/rucksack or satchel, then it is a smart ide to carrying a small bag inside the bigger bag, with your valuables in that are fixed with a strap or another device to the outer bag.  In case someone cuts the bottom, or the side open, the smaller bag will not fall out!

When staying in a hotel and you are not entirely sure about the security in the area, do the following:

  1. If you are traveling to none secure or less secure country/area then make sure that you take precaution in what floor you choose to stay. Do not accept the ground floor if possible and request 2nd or 3rd floor.
  2. Escaping from fire will be much easier and faster. And in case you need to jump you have a greater chance to survive the height
  3. In case of visiting a country prone for terrorist attacks, you will not be in the way of the blast and shrapnel’s
  4. Close curtains to avoid glass splitters
  5. Avoid the first floor. Criminals can make entries way easier to your room.

If you feel that you and/or your family would need more advanced training in case of moving to or staying longer time in unrest areas, an2sec’s simple advices when traveling given by our security consulates are there to help you to establish a secure environment for you and your family, So do not hesitate to contact us.
