Executive Director Peter Lundberg-Isaksson has many years of experience in the field of security starting with his military service, United Nations and continuing with a key role at the European Central Bank (ECB) where he was a member of a professional team responsible for assessing the security arrangements in place at the factories and offices of companies wishing to be approved for the supply of high security materials and services required for the euro banknote production processes. These assessments covered the full range of security arrangements offered by these companies including physical security, manufacturing process controls, information technology and background checks on personnel. Given the wide scope of these audits, conducted both on-site and by reference to pre-audit questionnaires completed by the companies, an in-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of risk assessment was necessary to evaluate not only the effectiveness of security controls already in place but also where there was scope for further strengthening the level of protection.
